SONA (50), pretty, waist-length dark hair with few grey strands, waits at the lounge of the arrival section at Chicago airport. The lounge buzzes with a lot of travelers going about in great hurry.

Peers frequently through her reading glasses to scan the crowd and then the exit doors. She attracts interested glances but is oblivious and preoccupied.

Looks at her watch and frowns worriedly.

CAMERA CLOSES IN - repeated dialing of the same number.

Listens to the ringing and then disconnects.

Sona dials the number.

She heads out of the airport, luggage in hand and hails a cab.

Sona checks in and makes herself comfortable in the small hotel room.

Watches TV dispiritedly, constantly looking at the phone. After a while her eyes drift close, and she falls into a deep sleep.

Sona paces up and down the hotel lounge. Dials 'Robert - USA' repeatedly. She listens to the phone ringing and then disconnects with a worried frown. Leaves a voice note..

She then walks over to the RECEPTIONIST (MARIA), an elderly woman.

She dials the number and puts it on speaker. The phone keeps ringing till the end. She tries again and the same thing happens.
